Sure be nice to have WIND LOADING ANALYSIS added to the program.
Maybe go one more step and add manufactures IXX and SXX values to their parts. Then have the program do some miner calculations for the wind loads per elevation.  This would give us the ability to avoid missing parts when doing a take-off.

Here is a great link for wind load calculator.

We recently added some training videos for the vbCAD program that is included with v15. The example we go over covers the event of an auto showroom door with unequal leafs.

Thanks for testing this Beta for us Chuck!. There are few other things we are working through, but we wouldn't have found them without your help.

You can actually run the "GDS v15 to SQL Importer" for this, and click the "Convert v15 Master files from Access to SQL" button, and this utility will convert your Glass Table, Labor Defaults, and System Defaults to the SQL version. It says "only run once!" because it will replace those same things with what you had in v15.1 if you have made changes while using the program.

When you want to change the vertical lengths in an elevation for only some of the verticals and not all, follow these steps:

1.  Click on "Optimizer" in the menu tree.
2.  Click the "Get Elevation Parts" button.
3.  Find the correct part number in the upper part of the window, "Cut Parts List", for those vertical pieces and change the lengths there.  The Label and Part Type columns will help you find the parts for the vertical material.  Vertical parts begin with a "V".  (Click on "Part Type" column header to help sort the list.)
4.  Be sure to click in the "Save" checkbox next to the parts to be changed.
5.  Now click on Step 2, "Optimize".

Be sure to watch the GDS video on the Optimizer for more info: http://glazesoft.com/TrainingVideos.htm

Just a note of thanks to Scott at GDS.   Thanks for helping me get vendor catalogs fixed for 15.2 Beta.  Everything looks like its working well.

The tech support is outstanding there at GDS.  Keep up the good work!

The Bate install works well and the vender catalogs with the jobs went well. Now just need the rest of my set up from 15.1 , like company info, labor, glass table, ect ect. That took a lot of work to get set up right.

This can be done very easy in VB Cad, once you hit shop drawings then click on the tab of the drawing you would like to work with, then hit CAD.  Once in hit insert from file and add it to the drawing. It will take some work for you to find the right detail, every supplier dose different things. Once you have what you are looking for then hit preview, a just settings then print. After you have done this a few times it gets very easy.

Try making each door as a single in its own panel and then remove the mullion.

I realize this is a fairly only post now that it is July, but I don't see the problem now of the glass report not showing the actual area of a piece of glass that is less than a specified minimum. Hopefully you have updated your software and this issue was fixed in one of the updates since March.
